Regular Season Concludes with Illini Open

URBANA, Ill. – The Purdue cross country team races at its final meet of the regular season at the Illini Open in Urbana, Illinois, on Friday, October 21.

The women’s 5k is set for 4 pm ET / 3 pm CT, at Illinois’ UI Arboretum.

The Boilermakers will be represented by four women’s runners at Friday’s meet, which comes one week before the Big Ten Championships.

LAST TIME OUT: WEIS-CROCKETT INVITATIONAL

The Boilermakers are coming off a pair of 13th-place team finishes at the Weis-Crockett Invitational on October 15 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sophomore Nathan Walker led the men and senior Emma Tate was the team’s top women’s finisher as the Boilermakers raced against a strong national field. The Purdue men were 13th with 366 points and the women were 13th with 350 points.

NEXT UP: POSTSEASON BEGINS

Championship season commences next week, as the Boilermakers travel to the Big Ten Cross Country Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on October 28.
