Mildred Turner Obituary (1923 – 2022) – Grant, MI

Mildred C. Turner, age 99, moved to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
She was born in Cheboygan, MI on March 8, 1923 to Herbert and Amy McLouth.
She lived a quiet, blessed life as the wife of Pastor Woodrow Turner. They served together at several churches, finally settling at Rockford Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was reading, which led her to help in the church library and encouraged others to read.
Mildred is survived by her son-in-law, Duane (Brenda) Brown; daughter-in-law, Sally Turner; sister-in-law Aurlie McLouth; grandchildren Carolyn (John) Caminiti, Brenda (Bill) Boshears, Chris Turner, Sjana (Don) Gregory and Scott (Katie) Turner; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; also surviving her are her nephews, Edwin and Lamar (Lily) McLouth; her two very close, long-time friends, Heather and Elaine along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Woodrow Turner; two children, Stephen Turner and Virginia Brown; her brother, Harold McLouth and her parents.
A private family interment will take place at the Rockford Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00 am on May, 28, 2022 at the Rockford Baptist Church, 221 Courtland St., Rockford, MI 49341.
A time fellowship will follow the service.
