Champaign Township Assessor Paul Faraci Chosen as State Senator Scott Bennett’s Replacement

Champaign Township Assessor Paul Faraci has been chosen as Scott Bennett’s replacement as State Senator of the 52nd District by the Democratic Party Chairs for Champaign and Vermilion Counties.

Faraci will complete Scott Bennett’s term, after his passing on December 16th.

A previous press release by Scott Bennett’s wife, Dr. Stacy Bennett, had listed Faraci as one of her four preferred choices to replace her husband in the State Senate, as it stated, “Paul Faraci has been a fixture in the Champaign/Urbana community for 45 years. His experience includes owning a small business, working on economic development, serving on the Champaign City Council, and now as the Champaign Township Assessor. He has also worked in Vermilion County through his positions with the Department of Economic Opportunity and the State Treasurer’s office.”
