BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) – A man has been arrested following a shooting after a personal dispute in Bloomington Tuesday.
Charles L. Bell, 33, of Bloomington, was arrested without incident shortly after the shooting, according to a Bloomington Police Department release.
Two firearms were seized after a search warrant at Bell’s residence.
Bell was arrested for aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of weapons/felon possession and resisting/obstructing a peace officer.
No bond information is currently available, according to the release.
The wounded man was in the 300 block of East Mulberry Street, near Downtown Bloomington, but it wasn’t clear where the shooting happened.
A police sergeant said the man, apparently in his 20s, was taken to a local hospital, but he did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
