Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five events happening in the Bloomington-Normal area:

MLK Day of Service

National Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is on Friday. This day of service honors MLK’s service to the Civil Rights Movement and social justice.

The Center for Civic Engagement is hosting a service event from 1 to 3 pm Friday in the Founder Suite at the Bone Student Center in celebration of MLK Day of Service.

During the event, participants will be creating Black History Month crafting kits for the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal.

ISU gymnastics meet

The Illinois State University gymnastics team has a meet at 7 pm Friday at CEFCU Arena.

The ISU gymnastics team will compete against Northern Illinois University.

The meet is free to attend.

’80s B.C. 90s DJ party

The Stable Music Hall & Lounge is hosting “80s v. 90’s DJ party.”

The event is on Friday at The Stable Music Hall in Bloomington. The doors will open at 6 pm with the show starting at 8:30 pm Tickets for this event can be purchases online.

Movie Nights at Braden Auditorium

Event Management, Dining and Hospitality (EMDH) is hosting a movie night at 7 pm Saturday at Braden Auditorium in the Bone Student Center.

EMDH will be showing the movie “Bros,” a 2022 romantic-comedy starring Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane.

ISU men’s basketball game

ISU men’s basketball is playing at home against Southern Illinois University on Sunday. The game is at 2 pm at CEFCU Arena.

Tickets for the game can be purchased online or at the door.
