New Year’s Eve Sober Ride Programs in Illinois

Snacks, champagne, and games aren’t the only things you need to be worrying about as you get ready for New Year’s Eve…finding a safe way home should be number one on your list! Thankfully, Illinois has several free (and safe) ride options to choose from on New Year’s Eve.

Make the Smart Choice This New Year’s Eve

Nobody wants to start the new year with a criminal record, especially not one for driving under the influence. And let’s be real, spending the night in a cold, dingy jail cell is a pretty crappy way to ring in 2023 too…so let’s avoid that at all costs.

We may not want to admit it, but many of us have driven home after having too much fun at a party or a bar because we didn’t have enough money for an Uber and/or didn’t want to leave our car at the bar/party. We know it wasn’t the right decision, and thankfully it didn’t end horribly for ourselves or someone else. PLEASE promise me you won’t make that choice on New Year’s Eve when there are several other free ride options to choose from!

The key to ending any party evening successfully is having a plan. You can call a taxi, use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft, or even designate a sober driver for the night, but when all those fail or the wait for a rideshare is too long, you still have options.
