TC West’s Comeback Falls Short in 3-2 Loss to Rockford

TRAVERSE CITY – A furious late rally came up short as the Traverse City West Titans fell to Rockford 3-2 on the final day of the Scott Miller Memorial Holiday Invitational.

The game was scoreless through the first period of play before the Rams netted two goals in short succession in the middle of the second period to take a 2-0 lead.

The Titans responded in the third with a Brandon Meyers goal to pull them within one, but less than a minute later Rockford would regain the two-goal lead.

West got a late goal from Reece Robertson to pull within a goal again, but the Titans couldn’t score with the empty net to tie the game up.

The Titans finished 0-3 for the tournament at Center Ice Arena. They return to action on January 11th at home against Cadillac. Rockford finishes the tournament with a 1-2 record.
