Support Anthony Gay in court on May 16th!

Anthony Gay suffered 22 years in solitary confinement in Illinois prisons, created the Isolated Confinement Restriction Act to end its unfettered use in Illinois, and now has a case against him in federal court. He is representing himself in court, and managed to achieve a hung jury in his last trial. He needs our support more than ever to ensure the courts do not send him back to prison.

At his court date on May 9th, prosecutors were allowed to submit 16 convictions, almost all of which were the result of torture, and none of which were relevant to the current charges, as evidence against him. The judge chose to go forward with this new trial, and limited the evidence Anthony was allowed to present. He is up against all odds as he fights for his life and the rights of incarcerated people. So, we are packing the court room on May 16th as this new trial begins.

We are raising money for busses, not just for this court date, but for every court date Anthony Gay has until he is free of these charges. We’re going all the way with Anthony Gay! Please donate and share the fundraiser to support these efforts!

If you’re able, please join us on May 16th. We will have transportation from the CAARPR office at 6353 S Cottage Grove to Peoria, IL where court will be held. We will meet at 4 AM, and the bus will leave at 4:30 AM. Sign up for a seat on the bus below!
