Frank R. Schultz, 67, of Melvin passed away at 8:50 pm Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City. A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held at a later date.
Frank was born March 4, 1955 in Bloomington, Illinois. A son of Lyle E. and Hetty L. (Hallam) Schultz. He married Robin S. Wurzburger on June 9, 1979 in Melvin.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years Robin Schultz of Melvin. Three children Clinton Schultz of Gibson City, Alaina Schultz of Stanford, Kentucky and Trevor Schultz of Melvin and two precious grandchildren Liam and Raelynn. Also, four siblings Charles (Cheryl) Schultz of Gibson City, Hal (Dianna) Schultz of Long Point, Sandy Brucker of Champaign and Hetty Schultz of Gibson City. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Diane and brother Lyle “Ted” Schultz.
Frank is a thirty-year employee of Vesuvius in Champaign where he was a welder and very proud of that. He was a volunteer fireman for the Melvin Fire Department serving for twenty-seven years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on cars. He often had one or two part time jobs, working gave him enjoyment. He was a quiet and gentle man and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
