Helen Marie Donnelly Obituary – Rockford Register Star

Helen Marie Donnelly was born to Ola Mae Purifoy (Hardnett) and Freemon Hubbard, Sr. on May 22, 1953 in Rockford, IL. She graduated from Auburn School and shortly after began employment at Warner Lambert until retirement. She served on the usher board at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church until her move to Atlanta, GA.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory her father Freemon Hubbard Sr of Moreno Valley, CA; daughter Sharon Greer of Atlanta, GA and son David Donnelly of Loves Park, IL. Six grandchildren Isaiah, Cierra, Clarence IV, Isis, Kyra, and Vangelis. Sisters Valerie Hardnett of Milwaukee, WI; Rhonda Austin of Rockford, IL and brother Freemon Hubbard Jr. of Rockford, IL. Former husband Carl Donnelly of Los Angeles, CA. Goddaughter Je’Skyyia Black as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother Ola Mae Purifoy; brother Finus Hardnett, Sr.; sister Rachel Purifoy as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church 2919 19th Street, Rockford IL, 61109.
